Textbook Contents: “Fundamental Skills in Scientific Communication” is an educational reference guide on STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, mathematics & medicine) for high school students preparing for board exams and other competitive exams. The book orients comprehensive knowledge obtained through basic school education with particular reference to English & Science for the purpose of developing scientific vocabulary, scientific attitude, scientific skills and scientific communication techniques in students. A structured approach is used by the author in describing terms such that they outline basic definition, important concept & scope for using the term with relevant examples. Part I (Ch 1 – Ch 5) of the book helps in revising basics of English, Part II (Ch 6 – Ch 16) gives details on scientific terms for each sub-discipline, Part III (Ch 17 – Ch 19) focuses on research ethics, techniques and scientific writing skills; and, Part IV (Ch 20 – Ch 23) gives basic knowledge on computer and IT skills. The author has made significant efforts to integrate the concept of science with English language for those who wish to understand theory or pursue their career in the field of science & technology. He puts emphasis on development of right attitude for scientific research through information gathering, expert analysis and use of proper communication techniques.
